Project funding
Where the flow requires advance payment, the client funds the agreed amount through the configured payment provider. The platform records that amount as protected until the release stage.
Release to the freelancer
Release depends on contract status, delivery, approval and the absence of an open dispute. YRV Work may charge the commission displayed during hiring.
Disputes
While a dispute is open, release related to the project is blocked to allow review. The parties must provide accurate and sufficient information for mediation.
Refunds
Where applicable, refunds are processed through the same payment method or provider and are subject to that provider's technical timelines and rules. Third-party fees may receive separate treatment under applicable law and terms.
Custody notice
The platform's payment-protection flow is an operational marketplace process and should not be interpreted as a bank account, investment or fiduciary escrow service.
Third-party processing
Payments may be processed by Stripe and, where applicable, Stripe Connect. YRV Work may use a platform charge followed by a later transfer to the professional. Full card details remain in the payment provider's environment and are not stored by the application.
Platform fee, taxes and payout
The platform fee is disclosed in the hiring or proposal flow. Each user remains responsible for applicable taxes, invoices and professional obligations. Balance availability, account verification, currency conversion and bank-transfer timing may depend on the provider and country.
Approval, dispute, refund and chargeback
Approval of a delivery may authorize transfer under the contract. An open dispute may block release while records are reviewed. Refunds and reversals are processed according to transaction status, provider rules and applicable law. Chargebacks initiated with a card issuer may require evidence and can affect balances, transfers or the project's financial outcome.
Not a financial institution
YRV Work does not present itself as a bank, investment wallet or credit institution. Marketplace payment protection describes a contractual and technical flow subject to the payment provider actually configured.
